We are working to end the discriminatory, intimidating, and oppressive policy of cash bail, which criminalizes poverty and has a disproportionate effect on communities of color and immigrants. Your generous donation goes towards providing bail funds for the release of community members from prison to avoid unjust incarceration & deportation.
Volunteer
Vermont Freedom Fund is run completely by and would not exist without volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with us, there are a number of ways you can get involved. We’ll work with you every step of the way.
Sign up to pay local bail in your region in Vermont.
Sign up to drive to Burlington, Massachusetts to pay bond for Vermonters detained by ICE, and return individuals to their home communities in Vermont.
Join the Vermont Freedom Fund Steering Committee to carry forward the day to day work of the organization. Interest in joining the Steering Committee will be considered on a person to person basis.
