The Vermont Freedom Fund is a statewide, volunteer-run bail fund that pays pretrial bail, immigration bonds, as well as other expenses to get community members released from jail.

National Bail Fund Network

The Vermont Freedom Fund is one of over ninety community bail and bond funds across the country that make up the National Bail Fund Network. The NBFN works with and provides resources for community bail funds that are freeing people by paying bail/bond and are also fighting to abolish the money bail system and pretrial detention.

Migrant Justice

Vermont Freedom Fund works alongside Migrant Justice, an organization of Vermont farm workers fighting for food justice and human rights. Their mission is to build the voice, capacity, and power of the farmworker community and engage community partners to organize for economic justice and human rights.

Women’s Justice & Freedom Initiative

Vermont Freedom Fund collaborates with WJFI, an abolitionist organization, whose mission is to make it known that people become entangled in our legal system because of systemic failures and that our legal system is founded on the control and punishment of black and brown bodies.
